The Langtang Gosaikunda Trek takes trekkers through the stunning Gosaikunda Lake and Langtang National Park. The peaceful mountain valley of Gosaikunda, home to a holy lake, enhances the splendor of the view of the far-off Himalayan ranges. The highest mountain in the region is Langtang Lirung, which stands at 7,246 meters (23,773 feet) high. The Langtang Valley offers a gateway to tranquil scenery and forests that surround the mountains. The many Himalayan Peaks can be reached through the valley as well. The primary attraction of the valley is the holy lake, Gosainkunda. You have the wonderful chance to learn about the distinctive way of life, culture, and festivals of the Tamang people, which infuse this naturally colored area with vibrant hues. All year long, Gosaikunda Lake draws a large number of pilgrims. They come here to bathe in the Lake’s holy waters. Furthermore well-known in the area is Yak Cheese. This trek’s routes are near the Himalayas, providing breathtaking views of Mt. Annapurna and Ganesh Himal.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival, our airport representative will greet you at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport. He will drive you in a private car to the hotel. On that day, you will have a planned meeting at the hotel regarding your trip. We will introduce you to your guide/leader at this meeting. Feel free to ask any questions you may have regarding the trip. Moreover, you will spend the night at a Kathmandu hotel.

Day 02: Drive Kathmandu to Syabrubesi

Get ready for a long drive to Syabrubesi after breakfast and double-check your belongings. Enjoy the gorgeous panorama of the mountains, hamlets, and Trishuli River valley by turning into the northern roadway. Enjoy the breathtaking views of Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Kerung, and Ganesh Himal in Tibet as well. To spend the night at a local lodge, you will make a stop at Syabrubesi.

Day 03: Trek Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel

We will start the hike from Syabrubesi with a stroll before climbing the route via the terraced field and the bamboo, oak, maple, and alder woodland. Along the route, you may spot red pandas, wild boar, Himalayan black bears, yellow-throated martins, and several bird species. You'll stroll past the little tea houses after crossing a bridge and a few streams. After that, the route climbs sharply as it passes over a steel suspension bridge and follows the Langtang River through a bamboo grove, leading to the Lama Hotel, where you will spend the night.

Day 04: Trek Lama Hotel to Langtang village

Today's trip will take you along an uphill track that goes through a deep forest, getting progressively steeper as you go. After crossing a log bridge and continuing up sharply, you will arrive at Ghoratabela. A checkpoint for the national park and many lodges are seen here. Additionally, the paths take you to a broad valley where you may observe yak pastures, water-driven mills, prayer wheels, and mani walls, which are symbols of Himalayan culture. You will arrive at the picturesque Langtang Village, home to Tamang and Sherpa settlers, after crossing a creek. Overnight at Langtang village

Day 05: Trek Langtang village to Kyanjing Gompa

You'll take an easy walk in the direction of Kyanjing Gompa today. On your trip to Singdun, you'll pass through the picturesque traditional villages of Mumdu and lush yak pastures. After crossing a wooden cantilever bridge and a stone mani wall, you will arrive at Kyanjing Gompa, the last settlement in Langtang. Discover the monastery, Yak cheese plant, and charming residents here. With Mt. Langtang Lirung and Mt. Ganchempo in the background, the settlement is much more picturesque. Day 06: Rest day at Kyanjin Gompa

You may use your free time to explore Langtang on your own and get some rest. It's the ideal opportunity to see Mount Lirung up close and personal. Depending on your fitness level and interests, you may choose to hike Kyanjing-Ri (4700 m) or climb Tsergo Ri (4984 m); you can even do a glacier walk on Langshisa Kharka. It will be overwhelming to see the breathtaking vista of the snow-covered peaks stretching out in front of you and to hike up the moraine to see the breathtaking mountain ridges and swaying glaciers.

Day 07: Trek Kyanjin Gumpa to Lama Hotel

You'll retrace your steps today, heading downwards along the Langtang Khola to the Lama Hotel. The trip to Lama Hotel, where you will spend the night in the local lodge, is delightful and takes you through a rhododendron forests.

Day 08: Trek Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru Village

After breakfast, head to the Thulo Syabru by the downhill path. You may observe the local wild boar, various animals, and delightful birds on an easy stroll through a lush bamboo and rhododendron forest that also passes streams and a sparsely populated tea shop. You may get a breathtaking up-close glimpse of Ganesh Himal while traveling. At the conclusion is a difficult trek upward that leads to Thulo Syabru. This is where you will spend the night at a local lodge.

Day 09: Trek Thulo Syabru to Shin Gompa

Start on a broad track that climbs to Dimsa village. From there, it continues on a rather steep trail that passes through forests of oak and rhododendron on its way to Shin Gompa. The breathtaking vistas of the Langtang Himal and the lovely valley along the trek captivate visitors. You may visit one of the well-known Cheese Factory after you get to Shin Gompa. Stay the night at a nearby lodge.

Day 10: Trek Shin Gompa to Gosainkunda Lake

You will comfortably walk along an inclining path today that passes through a wooded region and leads to Laurebina. The Red Panda Sanctuary, an indigenous species, is located on the route that runs between them. If you keep going up the hill, you'll ascend a larger path through the mountainous region and arrive at the Gosai Kunda, a sacred place. Discover and delight in the stunning lakes, such as Saraswati Kunda and Bhairab Kunda. Stay the night at Gosaikunda.

Day 11: Trek Gosaikunda to Chandanbari

Retrace your steps back to Chandanbari after witnessing the sunrise over the glittering lakes. You will follow the route that leads to Chandanbari and descend to Laurebina. You can spend the night exploring a cheese factory. Stay the night in the lodge.

Day 12: Trek Laurebina to Dhunche and Drive back to Kathamandu

Following breakfast, the route descends sharply to Deurali along a path through a woodland, where a gentler road leads to Dhunche. We will drive back to Kathmandu.On your arrival in Kathmandu, you will be escorted to the Hotel. Take your time to refresh yourself with a hot shower and rest.

Day 13: Departure

The journey comes to an end when our airport representative drops you off at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu.
