The trek begins at Pokhara, a beautiful touristic city, after a scenic drive from Kathmandu. The path follows from Lower region Nayapul to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m) through green lush forest, lovely towns, terraced farmland, cascading streams & waterfalls, and a well-paved staircase. There are lovely towns like Chomrong, Tatopani, Ghorepani, and Tadapani while heading to the Annapurna Base Camp as your final destination via Poon Hill. Ghorepani is the tranquility of heaven; from where you have a stunning panoramic view east from far west on the north side and the unique culture of local people, generally the Pun Magar community lives around here. The major highlights of this trek are numerous viewpoints from which trekkers get the amazing panoramic view of high peaks including Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Machhapuchre, Dhaulagiri, Hiunchuli, Baraha Shikhar/Fang, Nilgiri South, Tukuche Paek, and few others. There are very few treks in Nepal that include such incredible diversity and take you to the base camp of Annapurna peak in such a brief time frame period without compelling you to push your limits.
