Annapurna Circuit trek via Tilicho Lake is one of the renowned and classic trekking routes of Nepal offering the trekkers and adventure lovers the mesmerizing Tilicho Lake, which is reputed to be the highest altitude lake in the world. The journey will be easier before the trail connects Kaligandaki to the Marsyangdi River valley. The major highlight of this trek is the incredibly adventurous Thorung La pass which is located at a height of 5416 m.
During the trek, you will witness zones that range from subtropical to alpine terrains and a variety of mesmerizing sceneries. Thorung La Pass and Tilicho Lake, being surrounded by beautiful mountains make this journey truly pleasant and amazing. The trek is incredibly wonderful, with various orchid forests encompassing the path, and rhododendrons covering whole hills in their regular red hue in the spring. The unforgettable moments of witnessing the remarkable panorama of Annapurna (8,097 m), Machhapuchhre, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), and Tukuche along with numerous other dazzling peaks in the background make this trek memorable. Moreover, Tilicho Lake, the main feature of this trek, is located in an eye-catching area in the Annapurna region at an elevation of 4919 m. While trekking to the lovely Manang valley, Thorung Peak and Annapurna can also be seen. Crossing the Thorong La is maybe the hardest part of this journey but the feeling of achievement and the wonderful views on the trail makes it truly worth it.
