Itinerary
Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu(Altitude: 1350/4428 ft.)
The first view of Nepal from the window of your plane could be a lifetime memorable view as the clear wide and white range of the Himalayas shine straight in front of your eyes. The ecstatic beauty is so rare that you won’t be able to blink your eyes. Welcome to Nepal; large heaven within this small planet Earth. As you step out of the airport our representative and a driver will receive you with a pleasant smiling welcome on their faces. You will be escorted to your hotel in the city in a car. Our representative will take complete care in processing your check-in into the hotel.
Day 02: Cultural tour in Kathmandu and preparation day (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Meal: Breakfast)
Kathmandu is the historical and cultural heart of Nepal and has been a popular destination for tourists ever since Nepal opened its doors to visitors. The city presents a wonderful mix of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism, and Western influence. Early morning enjoys breakfast and heads towards the most popular Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva- Pashupatinath. Pashupatinath, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is considered the holiest place in Nepal to cremate the departed ones. You can easily witness the culture of Hindu funerals in Aryaghat at Pashupatinath. Then a few minutes’ walks will bring you to Boudhanath, which is one of the biggest Buddhist shrines in the world. In this UNESCO World Heritage Site, you can observe Buddhist monks absorbed in prayer surrounding the stupa. The Tibetan flavor is well observed in the backstreets of Boudhanath. Then, you will have your lunch in a typical Buddhist restaurant in Boudhanath. After lunch, you will drive to Kathmandu Durbar Square. This ancient courtyard is incredible with enormous craftsmanship expertise of the local inhabitants of primeval and medieval ages. The stone-paved streets, pagoda-style edifices, and the religious monuments including different deities are the cultural displays at the site. After, the see-through over these world heritage sites you will probably let go of your exhaustion at your cozy hotel room.
After check-in at the hotel, get refreshed and relaxed. Then, check your trekking gears and if anything missing, you can move for shopping near your hotel or even ask your tour officer to take you to the authentic shop. Enjoy the evening on your own and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 03: Drive to Pokhara (Altitude: 823 m/2710 ft. Drive: 7/8 hrs. Meal: Breakfast)
Early morning, after breakfast, catch the Tourist bus or we can also organize a private vehicle for you. Viewing countryside villages, farms, shops, and rivers, you will reach Pokhara. A beautiful place with tremendous views of mountains and lakes. You can also go boating at Fewa Lake. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 04: Drive to Beni/Tatopani (Altitude: 1689m/5570 ft. Drive: 2/2.30 hrs. Trek: 4/5 hrs. Meal: BLD)
Today, you will drive along the narrow serpentine highway that runs above the raging Mardi River and between lush vegetation. On arriving Beni, spend your valuable time for a while. Beni is a small town tucked in between at the confluence of Kali River & Myagdi River.
It will be the first day trekking, and you will walk along the mountain trail towards Tatopani. Tatopani is named after the Hot spring where you refreshed your body by taking bath in a natural hot spring. Spend overnight at Mountain Lodge.
Day 05: Trek to Ghasa Altitude: 2010 m/ 6630 ft. Trek: 5-6 hrs. Meal: BLD)
You will follow the trail that ascends gently up the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the deepest gorge in the world, towards the village-Dana, which is surrounded by orange groves. On the way, you will encounter local people selling baskets of oranges. Just beyond the small hamlet of Rupse, a thundering waterfall cascades down beside the trail. Afterward, the trail enters the steep and narrow section of the gorge. You will follow the stone path well-constructed. As the rock cliff ends, you head towards Ghasa, a pretty Thakali village. The village is beautified with flat-roofed Tibetan-style houses in Ghasa.
Day 06: Trek to Kalopani (Altitude: 2530m/8350 ft. Trek: 4/5 hrs. Meal: BLD)
After taking breakfast, you will start walking on the mountain trail passing small settlements and crossing the bridge toward Kalopani. On reaching Kalopani, you can visit the Thakali Cultural Museum. Thakali is a culturally rich ethnic group living in the Kaligandaki Valley of Nepal.
Day 07: Trek to Marpha (Altitude: 2670 m/ 8810 ft. Trek: 5-6 hrs. Meal: BLD)
Today, you will trek towards Marpha. Marpha is especially famous for Himalayas Apple. Here, you can get Apple Brandy and renowned as Marpha Brandy- don’t miss to taste. In the center of the village, you will see the rapidly expanding Solmi Gompa. It has an old giant prayer-wheel brought from Tibet and is here for more than a hundred years. Another attraction is the Marpha Horticultural Research Station which was established in 1966 for introducing new crops for this region. Spend overnight at the local lodge.
Day 08: Trek to Yak Kharka (Altitude: 3680m/12145 ft. Trek: 5/6 hrs. Meal: BLD)
Today, you will gain altitude. Walking along the mountain rocky trail, you will see some yak grazing. Sometimes, you might get heavy wind while trekking to this area. Hence, it is better to walk early after breakfast. Trekking for 5/6 hours, you will reach Yak Kharka. Yak Kharka is the yak graze land and hence signs of yak herders and thin vegetation can be seen there. Overnight at Yak Kharka.
Day 09: Acclimatization and Climbing Practice (Altitude: 3680m/12145 ft. Meal: BLD)
Now onwards, you will gain altitude. Hence, it is the best time to acclimatize properly. Today, you can take your time to wake up. Get refreshed viewing surrounding and make your journey to hike to some high altitude nearest to your camp. Follow the guidance of Sherpa and practice climbing technique. Spend overnight at Yak Kharka.
Day 10: Trek to Base camp Altitude: 5100m/16728ft. Trek: 5/6 hrs. Meal: BLD)
After Breakfast, get ready to trek towards High Camp of Dhampus Peak. Trekking in the alpine vegetation and magnificent view of the surrounding Peak, you will reach the base camp. Looking at the right site for a camp, you will stop for an overnight stay.
Day 11: Climbing Practice (Altitude: 5100m/16728ft. Meal: BLD)
The climbing peak above 6000m will not be easy. Hence, it would be better to acclimatize properly at High Camp. Taking rest for a day, you can make yourself physically and mentally prepared to climb the peak. Practice some climbing techniques from the guide and get ready for the next day's achievement. Spend overnight at Camp.
Day 12: Summit and Back to base camp (Altitude: 6012m/19840 ft. Trek: 7/8 hrs. Meal BLD)
Now, here comes the most awaited day. Wake up in the early morning around 2 a.m. and get ready with all gears. Following the proper guidance of your climbing guide, you will head toward Dhampus Peak. Once you reach the summit, get rewarded with a superb view of snowcapped mountains including Annapurna ranges, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Tilicho, and Tukuche. Spending quality time for a while at the summit, retrace back to the High camp. Take rest at camp where you will spend your overnight.
Day 13: Trek back to Yak kharka (Altitude: 3680m/12145 ft. Trek: 6/7 hrs. Meal: BLD)
Get ready to retrace back to Yak Kharka. Today, you will climb up a moderate snow slope towards the Dhampus Pass at 5240m. Crossing this pass, you will descend towards Yak Kharka. Enjoying the surrounding, you will spend your overnight at Yak Kharka.
Day 14: Trek to Jomsom (Altitude: 2670m/8757 ft. Trek: 5/6 hrs. Meal: BLD)
Today is the final day of your trek. You will slide down to the village of Marpha. Continuing to trek up to the northern river valley, you arrive at the Windy City of Nepal- Jomsom. Release all the trek exhaustion and get ready to celebrate the success of your journey. Spend overnight at Jomsom Mountain Lodge.
Day 15: Fly to Pokhara, leisure time (Altitude: 823 m/2691 ft. Flight: 20 minutes Meal: B)
From the windy city, Jomsom and you will take a flight back to Pokhara. Leaving the tranquil isolation, as you land at Pokhara, you will be once again transferred to your hotel in the city. Rest some of the time on your own.
Day 16: Drive back to Kathmandu (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Meal: B/D)
You can either fly or drive to Kathmandu based on your feasibility and comfort. During the flight, you can reach Kathmandu within 30 minutes after departure from Pokhara. Whilst, driving will take around 7 hours to reach Kathmandu, however, you can grasp the countryside life. The 1st half of the trip is along the highway above Seti and Marsyandi Rivers and the latter half winds along Trisuli River. Green hills along the spiral roads, stopping in between for snacks (fish) are the trip highlights. Upon arriving at Kathmandu, you will be transferred to the hotel in the city.
Day 17: Departure Transfer (Altitude: 1350/4428 ft. Meal: B)
Our tour officer will pick you up from your hotel three hours prior to your departure time. You will be escorted in a private vehicle to the airport for your final departure. Have a safe flight home.
