Tour overview

Situated in the Manaslu area of Nepal, Larke Peak (6219m) is a relatively new destination for climbers, so your time exploring this incredible natural paradise will be less crowded and more serene. You will enjoy a less crowded and more tranquil experience while exploring this incredible natural paradise since Larkya Peak (6219m) in Nepal’s Manaslu area has just lately been accessible to climbers. Climbing Larke Peak together with the Manaslu Circuit Trek is a really rewarding experience. With breathtaking vistas of Manaslu, the Annapurnas, Ganesh Himal, and beyond, it’s a rather straightforward climb. The 5,135-meter Larke La Pass is not far from the base camp. One may ascend Sano Larke Peak in a single day from this base camp. But a high camp is needed to climb Thulo (large) Larke (6,249 m). This last Larke Peak ascent is strenuous but achievable, with snow slopes that are somewhat less steep than Sano Larke Peak. With a genuine sense of accomplishment, this climb will test your stamina and determination.

Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.

Upon your arrival, our airport representative will greet you at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport. He will drive you in a private car to the hotel. On that day, you will have a planned meeting at the hotel regarding your trip. We will introduce you to your guide/leader at this meeting. Feel free to ask any questions you may have regarding the trip. Moreover, you will spend the night at a Kathmandu hotel.

Day 2 : Drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola (800m) Duration: 6-7 hours.

During our seven to eight-hour road trip, we will travel by private jeep and stop for lunch along the way. We are going to stay along the river in Soti Khola tonight.

Day 3 : Trek from Soti Khola to Machha Khola (869m) Duration: 5-6 hours.

Today's trek follows a mule road, climbs a stunning trail carved into the rock face, and descends to Lapubesi (880m). After that, we go to Nauli Khola, passing under a suspension bridge en route, and then follow the path next to the Budi Gandaki River to Machha Khola (900m).

Day 4 : Trek from Machha Khola to Jagat (1340m) Duration: 6-7 hours.

Today, we will go beside the river to Khorlabesi and the tepid spring at Tatopani, which means "hot water" (930 meters). From there, we will travel along the Budi Gandaki River's eastern bank to Doban, Thulo Dunga, and Yara Bagar (1370 meters). Before arriving at Jagat (1410m), with its distinctive flagstone town center, and the entrance gate to the Manaslu Conservation Area, the path zigzags across the river and crosses many suspension bridges. Arriving in Jagat, enjoy the breathtaking vista of Sringi Himal, which has Mani walls, and Chirtens, which are symbols of Himalayan culture. Overnight at Jagat.

Day 5 : Trek from Jagat to Deng (2300m) Duration: 6-7 hours.

The trail climbs to Salleri and Sirdibas above Jagat and then descends to Philim. The path winds past multiple waterfalls and through more desolate terrain until coming to a junction at Ekle Bhatti, where it connects to Lokpa, a settlement on the trail to the Tsum Valley. We next ascend above the intersection of the Shar Khola and Buri Gandaki Rivers, moving on to Pewa and, at last, Deng (1860m).

Day 6 : Trek from Deng to Namrung (2700m) Duration: 6-7 hours.

Today we ascend beyond the Tom (tum) Khola to Longa Chuta, after which we enter a fascinating forest of fir and rhododendron, home to Langur monkeys and birds, on the north bank of the Buri Gandaki River. After there, we make our way back over the river to arrive at Namrung (2660m), a former customs post from the time when salt was transported from Tibet along this route. Overnight at Namrung.

Day 7 : Trek from Namrung to Samagaun (3520m) Duration: 6-7 hours.

Today's trek ascends to Shyaula (5320m), where the 2015 earthquake severely destroyed a large number of structures, including the Gompa (Buddhist temple). After traveling through several valleys and paths, we reach the more isolated settlement of Gompas and go to Sama Gaun (3530), also referred to as Samagaun. The settlement of the town is home to a number of intriguing monasteries. Overnight at Samagaun.

Day 8 : Acclimatization day at Samagaun – trek to Manaslu Base Camp (4900).

Before attempting ascents at high elevations, one must at least spend a day getting acclimated to these higher altitudes. Health professionals advise you to walk rather than just sit still. Discovering the Gompa at Pugyen (4070m), a one-day trip that departs from the path between Syaula and Sama, is a great way to remain active. You might continue up this valley to the craggy cliffs and landscape of the Pugin Glacier if you have time. A visit to the lake at Birendra Tal (3450m) or a more strenuous climb to Manaslu Base Camp (4900m) are two other options. Milarepa's Cave, named after the renowned Buddha, is located north of Birendra Tal and is believed to have been used as a meditation retreat by the Buddhist saint.  Overnight at Samagaun.

Day 9 : Trek from Samagaun to Samdo (3875m) Duration: 3-4 hours.

Today, the trail passes the intersection of Birendra Tal and Manaslu Base Camp before descending and returning to the Buri Gandaki River. The valley widens till it reaches Kermo Khadka, and then it goes on to the white Kani Gateway, which marks the start of Samdo (3860 meters). If we have time, we may go to the village's top to get a great glimpse of Mount Manaslu. If you need more time to acclimate, there's a 6- to 7-hour journey up 640 meters to the Fukang Glacier's moraine. From there, you'll be rewarded with panoramic views of many routes that people use to travel into Tibet. Overnight at Samdo.

Day 10 : Rest and acclimatization day at Samdo

Once more, being active will help you acclimate to the higher altitudes. You may stroll around the venture's village and enjoy the views from the surrounding hills.

Day 11 : Samdo to Dharamsala Larke Phedi (4460m) Duration: 4-5 hours.

On this relatively short day, we descend through pastures before beginning our ascent to the Larkya-La Pass. The trip to Dharamsala (4480m) offers breathtaking vistas of Manaslu and the Syacha Glacier, as well as the possibility of seeing Himalayan blue sheep. As far as we can go today without running the danger of altitude sickness is this. Snowfall is common in this section of the route, and the Samdo Lodge is usually closed from mid-December to mid-March when the Larkya-La Pass is blocked by snow. If the lodge closes, your guide will be aware of it beforehand.

Day 12 : Trek from Dharmasala to Larke Peak Base Camp (5135m) Duration: 4-5 hours.

We will spend the night at Larke Peak Base Camp after a quick four to five-hour trek today. The strategy of gradually increasing your altitude in little steps aids in the recovery from altitude sickness.

Day 13 - 14 : Climbing period and preparation.

Your guide will go over safety protocols and rope methods with you before the actual climb. The ascent to the summit will be significantly impacted by the current weather. You should, nonetheless, be ready for everything that might arise. The highlight of your climb will be your day at the top. The most breathtaking vistas of the neighboring peaks will make the physical effort to reach the summit worthwhile.

Day 15 : Reserve day in case of bad weather

It is possible that adverse weather conditions will prevent us from reaching the summit on schedule. Our primary goal is to get you to the top of Larke Peak. We shall thus set aside a reserve day in case of inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances. If all goes according to plan, though, we can utilize this day to slowly hike back.

Day 16 : Trek from Larke Peak Base Camp to Bimtang (3800m), 5-6 hours walk down

We make our way down to Bimtang today, a renowned trade center situated along the Tibetan salt route. A worthwhile side trip takes you up above Bimtang on a route that leads to Pungkar Tal, a transparent glacier lake at 4,100 meters. Overnight at Bimtang.

Day 17 : Trek from Bimtang to Dharapani (1963m) Duration: 6-7 hours.

Today we take a path straight below the massive Phunki Peak (6258m) to descend to Dudh Khola and Soti Khola (2700m), commonly known as Khare. After there, we follow a track that crosses the ridge and descends to the river, arriving at Gho village. As we descend through forests and farm fields, the scenery becomes noticeably greener at this lower elevation. We follow the path along the north bank of the Dudh Khola until we reach Tilche (2300m), the biggest settlement since leaving Samdo. The hamlet is well-known for being Gurung's home and for having flagstone-paved streets. We go via the Kani (gateway arches) to pass Tilche, then cross the stream to go to Thonje. The Marsyangdi River must be crossed by a suspension bridge to reach the Dharapani (1920m) route. Before descending to Bensisahar and finally Kathmandu, the walk joins the Annapurna Circuit, where trekking becomes easier.

Day 18 : Trek from Dharapani to Syange (1100m) Duration: 5-6 hours.

Today, we will keep trekking downwards until we get to Syange, where we will spend the night.

Day 19 : Drive from Syange to Besisahar & to Kathmandu; Duration: 6-7 hours.

From here, a steep descend towards the Syange village and crossing a bridge will take you to the bus stop. Driving for hours down in a snaky road will take you to Besisahar. Drive back to Kathmandu in a private vehicle. Along the serpentine mountain mishmash road followed by snaky Prithvi Highway the journey longs for 7-8 hours. You will be having your lunch at one of the highway and in the late afternoon, you will be arriving in Kathmandu. Rest of the time in Kathmandu you can unleash your trekking tiredness hunting the souvenirs on the streets of Thamel or simply chill in your hotel room.

Day 20 : Transfer to International airport.

Three hours before of time, a representative would drive us to Tribhuwan International Airport.
